'91 40hp Johnson

When cranking the motor fuel is coming out the exhaust. Any ideas?

You have leaking float valves in the carbureors or a leaking diaphragm in the fueol pump.---What style pump are you using --VRO or the standard pump mounted on the side of top cylinder.----What position is the red lever on the primer in?-------Is it left on manual by any chance ?
