Was about 40 miles offshore yesterday cruising at about 28MPH motor was running well and then i started bogging down, normally this means i have a fuel flow issue( sometimes my primer bulb gets sucked flat due to a little gunk in the tank). I checked it out and their was plenty of fuel in the bulb. Started her back up but at full throttle it wouldnt go above 10-12 MPH but sounded healthy. I took the cowl off and saw that their was a bunch of oil splattered on the cowl and the motor on the side of the oil pump vro system. It ran fine all day until this issue. Its a new purchase so im pretty rookie at troublshooting. Plugs were fine. Steady stream of water. No alarm went off. Plenty of oil still in resevoir tank. I just from my research think its running on SLOW due to overheating or i blew some cylinders. This happened before when i ran really low on oil, but after running my kicker for 2 hours back to port she ran fine after a long break and refill on oil. I apologize if this isnt the right terminology but i am a pretty novice boater. Vacation starts in a week and love to fishing instead of sitting around. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
