1988 tohatsu model 90a 90hp
I just bought a used boat with the above motor on it. When we went to buy it the water was coming from the weep hole, weak but steady on the hose. Now the water takes a while to come out of the weep hole after starting. instead water comes out of a hole just above where the lower unit bolts up. Also it comes out of the prop. I took the cover off and checked the hose and the outlet with wire and blew throught the hose, all seemed ok. Then started with cover off and noticed water coming out of the bottom of the front of the block where the outer case meets the block. I've only had experience with a 115hp mariner and I am not sure wether this is normal or not.

Also how hard is it to change a seal in the lower unit?

Take the engine into a dealer. Water coming out of the block is not a good sign and is not normal. Depending on how the lower unit comes apart, changing a seal is easy or a nightmare.
