I have a 2017 Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk. I went to trim up the motor and it goes up about 3 inches and stops. The trim motor spins and runs. I suspect that the oil is leaking slowly and is low on fluid in the trim motor.
My question is. With the motor in the down position, can I remove the trim plug slowly and refill? Or does the motor need to be in the up position? I'm asking because the boat is on a lift for the summer and I'd hate to have to pull it out of the water to do this.
