Hello, What features do the TL, TX, and ML designations represent, on a 1996 90 hp. Thanks

Howdy, MWelskopf. <br /><br />Others may correct me on this if I am wrong, but I think the first letter indicates whether the engine has T&T (T) or is Manual tilt (M). I think the second letter is shaft length; L (long) =20" and X (Extra Long) =25".<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB

JB is correct on the second letter designating the shaft length. On the 2002 motors the first letter designates the color, white or graphite. I think that JB hit on the head for the first number as well. My book shows trim and tilt standard since 1990.<br />****
