Isn't that screen held on by just one screw? Unless the screw is frozen, you should be able to replace it yourself in less than a minute.
Thank You to all who replied. After looking at the broken plastic screen, I am assuming that as i cannot see any attachment points its like you said the entire lower unit has to be removed, which is out of my realm of knowledge, so I will have to try to get it to a repair shop.

Assuming the motor is also a 98, the screen can be repalced by taking the lower unit off and removing the water pump assembly. Then look down the cavity and you'll see it from the inside. It snaps into place so you'll have to break it to get it all out. Then just push the new one in.
Don't take out that screw on the side with the phillips head. That's for a driveshaft bearing.
Actually you should be OK as long as you aren't running in water with a lot of weeds. It's not common to see those plastic screens broke but it happens.

I looked up the 1998 90hp on Bombardier's parts website and there are several model numbers for that year and horsepower. But the ones I was looking at shows the screens held in by a single screw. No need to remove the lower unit or water pump to replace like on older models.
