guru, own a '05 90 hp tohatsu, TLDI ob. love the motor but i have noticed something i don't understand. when i engage the throttle-gear forward (at slowest rpm - 700 rpm?) i get what appears to be skipping. not enough to stop the motor. if i speed up to 800 - 900 rpms, it goes away. do a lot slow trolling at 700 rpm for flounder, so this is annoying. "doc" - what is your diagnosis and what is the treatment-cure? i have been told by a semi pro, that it is electrical bleed, coming from the spark plug wire-cap. appreciate your advise, ken.

I have a 140 Tohatsu that does same thing , but not when I tilt motor up a little bit.

The TLDI doesn't have a rough spot so I would get it into a deareler so they can see what the problem is. It could be virtually anything.

The 140 is a carbed model so tilting it up might compensate for a float that is out of adjustment.
