Dear Friends:
I am building a Tolman skiff in Sitka and want to locate the batteries forward in the wheelhouse. My engine is a new 2005 Tohatsu 90 tldi. The circuit from engine to batteries is 30ft. What is the amp draw of the starter, and what maximum amperage flow should I use to size my cables? Assuming that the 15' cables will be larger and stiffer than the stock cables, what is the best practice (or good mistake) for connecting the cables to the engine?
