90 OMC Cobra Drive Noise

This is a freinds boat who is having problems.<br /><br />There is a clunking noise comming from the top of the drive unit.<br /><br />What should I look at first...<br /><br />U-Joints?<br /><br />Gimbal Bearing?<br /><br />Flywheel Flex Plate?<br /><br />Upper Gears?<br /><br />Drive makes noise in nuetral and in gear, forward and reverse.<br /><br />Any help would be greatly appreciated.
