I just bought a Javelin 389TE w/150 Johnson.Once I get on plane I can't trim the motor up past a certain point the trim guage is all the way up but I still can't get the motor to venilate or throw a rooster tail.I noticed a little switch on the motor bracket does this have anything to do with it.I would like to be able to trim it higher

So youre saying that the motors mounted too low for the prop youre using? Thats good but not surprising.

Got milk.....I mean... jackplate?

I don't care about throwing a rooster tail but I know that the higher you trim your motor on most boats you go faster so I was wondering if I trim it higher would I go faster?I am running 5300rpm

Good idea!

Once thats on, test with the existing prop and update your baseline. Remember -- 1 change at a time.

We assume you have a 60 degree 150 looper, right?
