90 HP Mercury 6 cyl. Spark drops off on 1,3 & 5 Cylinders at high RPMs

I have a 1982 90 HP 6 cyl. All plugs fire at idle but when we rev up the RPMs, Cylinders 1,3 and 5 stop firing. We have swapped out the switch and nothing changed. We are thinking of replacing the trigger. Any suggestions?

bad high speed winding on stator, replace stator...
