I am re-installing a Johnson J90MLCNB power head (complete rebuild) to the mid section and wondering if there are any components that must be installed before mounting to the midsection due to bolt access issues. Heads, intake and exhaust cover are installed and was going to mount the power head. I remember difficulty removing some bolts before separating the two but, it has been way to long ago for me to recall. Thank you in advance for any responses.

If the lower cowling is loose, best to mount the powerhead-secure the lower cowling last. Always best to put new thermostats in the stat housing on any new powerhead installation. Best to do that before you mount the powerhead-way better access that way.

Thank you....After looking at it a while longer, I realized that too. Now if I could just find one of the two spacers I have I could save myself $30 and continue. I guess cleaning up my garage and shed takes priority now.
