I have a 91 model 90 hp force. The unit runs real well except for when you slowly throttle up. It will quit if you throttle it slow. If you hammer it it jumps up and halls a**. Then you can let off to a slower cruise speed. I have replaced the fuel pump and stator. It has the carbs with pressed in seats and no intermediate jet. Would I find a problem in the carbs?

sounds like it is a little lean on the low speeds or needs to be syncroniced.

Crack the idle screws another 1/4 turn and try again. They should all be the same, about 1 to 1 1/2 turns out. You don't want them varying from eachother by much at all ... like #1 @ 1 turn, #2 @ 1 1/4 turns, #3 @ 1/12 turns.
