90 horse nissan out board motor stalling

when idling motor runs good, when I try to go forward or backward engine stalls, is it carb or fuel filter? Have not been able to run it since I took it out of storage

Start at the fuel filter and work inwards.<br /><br />If it was stowed with fuel in the carbs, I'll bet they need to be disassembled/cleaned.
