'90 force I/0 vs. '93 outboard

this would be the reluctant boat mechanic husband of maxum mama. (you can call me rbmech). after having put many more hrs and untold riches into this pathetic excuse for a motor/lower unit i have come to the end....or so i thought, only to realize that the driveshaft on a '93 force 120 has 13 splines wherin the lower unit has 15 splines!...sigh.
the easiest fix i can see is if i can find a collar that is a 15/13 split, otherwise it looks as if i will need to switch over the crank...if the 90 fits into the 93...!
suggestions and or input? thanks.

I don't think that the L drive crank will fit into the outboard powerhead
