90 evinrude raise motor??

hi guys im new to this site.my question is that i have a 1982 90hp rude on a 16 foot glass vhull bowrider(15,7 feet),im using a 13x19p vortex prop and can only get 5100rpm at wot.to the best of my knowledge the ignition,etc is set up properly.the cavitation plate is dead on with the bottom of the boat.when the boat is at a standstill the boat is a little low on the back end.so i guess im asking should i jack it up 1 or 2 holes on the mounts??? im getting 5100rpm at 42.9 on gps.

That's about 10% slip. That indicates the tach is good and that's probably the right prop for now. <br /><br />Yes, lets raise and test. How about that for an excuse.....errr....reason to go for a boat ride?

i only have 2 holes to raise to max. go all the way or just to the first?

i'd try both, see which give you the best.
