9.9 Suzuki Motor

I am looking for some help. We have a 9.9 Suzuki Motor that is about 23 years old. The only problem it has is that the cord that you pull to start is is broken. I am trying hard to find the replacement part that we need but not having any luck. Anyone have some advice..I would appreciate it. Thanks

Try your local hardware store. You can probably find a replacement cord for a lawn mower of the same thickness which will just fine.

Thanks for replying. Its not so much the cord but the reel that it winds into...I have a parts number but no one seems to carry it anymore.
