My motor was running fine for 5 minutes and I dinta know what happend there was a wire noise and then it powered down. Tried to turn it on again. The motor turned but won't get going. After two more pulls the fly whell locked. Something must have idk broken or bent but I noticed that the flywheel wheel is pulling on the throttle arm. I played with it a bent ( spoon the fly wheel back and forth) and it un locked but when I tried to pull start it again after two or so turns it locked up again. I still have compression and it sounds like the motor wants to turn on but it just locks up. Any idea what I can do.

Pull the flywheel and see what broke underneath it.

Pure speculation on my part but she may have overheated in five minutes. Are you aware the 9.9 has a lock system (safety) that will prevent the recoil from pulling if it is in gear and/or if too much throttle is applied even in neutral? Back your throttle all the way off and see if you can pull the recoil. Best of luck. Rick.
