9.9 powerhead removal

Hi All,

I posted awhile back about the black sludge from coming out from under the power head,of my `74 E-rude 9.9. I have a digital copy of the FSM and it says that to discombobulate darn near the major components on the power head.The Clymer that I saw is so vague. Hopefully one of you can give me some good removal instructions. Other than the exhaust gasket and the water tube grommet and the busted upper motor mount that is snapped any other things I should check while in there
