9.9 no spark

Hello. I have a 1995 2 stroke electric start with no spark. I have found a wiring diagram, and traced it out. I have power going into the rectifier, but nothing comming out. Does this controll spark ? also in error i did have 2 batteries wired together while running the boat. could i have burned this part out by having excessive amps ? Thanks in advance for your help.

The rectifier converts AC from the stator coils to DC for charging the battery.

How did you have your batteries connected in parallel or in series. No harm will have come from connecting them in parallel but if you had them in series i would not be sure but I dont think so.

If you connected the batteries with positive and negative swapped you will have destroyed the rectifier.

Batts were wired in paralell.

Powerpack probably toast, did you test it?
