9.9 Merc I.D. Help

Hi guys---Bart Sr here from GA. My sister has a 9,9 Merc not sure of the location of the serial number to determine what year it is. We want to be sure we can set decent price for it as it is very clean but not run for a few years.

The numbers we found are P/N 339-7452 A7 and WM 05A3085.

Hey Yall,

This is Bart's sister in GA. I have located the serial number but there is no model number or manufacture date. I have searched Mercury Marine online but I am only more confused. According to the web site there was a time when this was eliminated. It further states there should be a date above the serial number but wouldn't you know, this one does not have a date on the label. I would appreciate anything more on this subject.
