Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? My 1998 Mariner will ocassionally not stay up. I can not seem to get the lock mechanism to stay up. I usually turn off the motor while in gear when i get close to shore ( beach in this case) As I try to lift it and try to get it to lock in place it will not do so. I have to engage the tilt lock button. Other times it seems to be OK. Just got the motor so I am a bit unfamiliar with it. The owner's manual is not very helpful. I checked and lubed the mechanism.Thanks for any advice you might have.
