I have a 2007 9.9 4-stroke that just started acting up today. It will start and run at higher RPM but seems to drop a cylinder or?? and coughs, sputters and will not idle long enough to put it into gear. Changed both plugs and they were brown with some black carbon deposits on the outter part of the plug but the electrodes looked good, light brown. Last trip out I screwed up and ran the trolling motor with the choke on for about 1-1/2 hrs....but it ran fine until I quit for the day. Just can't get it to idle...Anybody got an idea?
