well it looks like 5880 rpm's is the best I can get it. is there any thing else I can do to get another 1000 RPM's??? can't seem to find the other 1000 rpm's
5-6 K are the wot numbers for that engine wether being 2 or 4 strokes ones. You're already at the very limit assuming lightly loaded and with you alone. Going 1 pitch less will give much more that 120 rpm needed to be top, will over rev....
Get some small weight off that boat and you'll be at 6 K.
I must have had another senior moment I ment 120 not 1000rpms Thanks again. It does really good It's idol is fairly good but not slow enough, I'll fix that.
Turn idle screw CCW to a point that when shifting forward you hear a dry clak gear engament and engine dosen't die when at load, adjust as needed to achieve this cond.
