I can't believe the way this motor runs.. today it ran great again right at 5810+ rpm,s tiny tach. What could it be that cause's the difference day to day.. Once again I when through all the things and looked it over good. No reason that I can see. Thank

Slight contamination of fuel could be one possibility.

You know that I use almost a tank a week and use 89 Octane. Most of my running is at almost full speed and drain motor at idle in the evening

How much rpm difference might that be day to day. If minimum could be due to spark plug/gap or fouled conditions, evironmental conditions as wamer, colder air, water temp fluctuations, windy, choppy wavy sea conditions than flat calm glassy ones, probably you ate too much previous to outing...

I find my engine to be more or less responsive, It's a throttle response feeling.
