9.5 runs great but wont idle,

Finally got this motor half way right. Runs great but at idle, you have to pump the bulb to get gas in it. ??? already replaced fuel pump, same prob

It seems to me that a lot of the 9.5 have a hard time idling. as for the gas make sure your tank fittigs are tight an that you have gas. if u repalced the pump than it has got to be something wh the bulb.

replaced bulb pump and line and tank wit known good, same thing, Started easier and flew pretty good but now its Getting worse as well, have to choke her down to get gas. Seems like maybe a float is stuck in the up position or only moves a little and doesnt allow proper flow. I never cleaned the carb to begin with after setting for 8 years,??? I know I wouldn't rebuild the carb but, as far as cleaning, How bad is it? like a 10 layer fuel pump with 2 springs?

Get a carb rebuild kit and throughly, soak and clean the carb. To me it sounds like you have an air leak, maybe around the needle, depending upon the year, the needle seat was either a fiber washer and a packing nut or a fiber washer and an "o" ring with a spring on the needle.

Clean out and service the entire fuel system.
How is the compression ???

By feel, compression is good, running is great. Dont have the kit. Maybe able to rent it at Advance Auto,, Leave a deposit, take it back, get all your money back. Air leak makes good since. krusty fuel deposits in jets too. How hard is that to clean, not rebuild? Need a gasket kit?

It's not a difficult job. I would get a kit and do the job properly though.

I finally found the threads and with all your help and the shops the prb,calibration filler plug, def clogged or leaking.
