I have a 9.5 johnson seahorse that I'm guessing is a 1968 model. MQ-14E is the model no. My question is do these engines produce a straight steady stream of water out the pee hole or do they just sort of sputter and spray? I checked the impeller and that looks good and blew air threw the copper intake hole in the lower unit and also threw the pee hole into the cooling jackets. With the engine running the water coming out the pee hole is luke warm. After a couple minutes of running I shut it down and feel the cylinder heads and they are pretty hot to the touch - about 5 to 10 seconds before i take my hand off. Just wondering if this is normal for these engines cuz I don't want to burn it up, just fish!! Thanks
