I have a merc 8HP two stroke 1995. It is a like new motor recently aquired in a trade. It Idles super. At 2/3 throttle or above it runs super. at tip in low to mid throttle it blubbers misses smokes and all that good stuff. hit 2/3 throttle and runs super again. I have tried fueling direct gravity to pump, pressure stays steady at pump outlet. seems as tho it is dropping one or both cyls part time. Compression is 120. Is there a split trigger system where one does low speed and one does high? It seems as though it is a "transition" issue between idle and wider throttle opening..Like it is not burning the fuel at light to medium throttle. Any ideas? thanks
