Dear Mercury-insiders
I (outboard greenhorn) am trying to replace the impeller on an old (about 1991) 8HP 2 stroke Sailpower outboarder. (Please excuse me should I use incorrect technical vocabulary, my mother tongue isn't English).
This is the motor. The gears are shifted by turnign the handle
I took out the 3 bolts fixing the lower part and now it can be moved about 4 or 5 cm. However, the shift linkage still seems to hold the lower part and I don't now where to free it.
That's how far it comes out.
The shift linkage is one single part that comes out of the lower part and goes (in one single piece) all the way into the head of the motor.
Thanks for help!
