89 Stratos -Help needed!

My Brother-n-law has a 89 Stratos Fish & ski without the motor. Needs seats and some of the glass needs to be replaced and the paint is faded. But other than that it looks ok. Trailer looks ok too. Oh and it's 21 foot. He told me i could have it for $600 dollars. Think it's Worth it?

Well... How good are you with glass?

I would magine if "some" of the glass needs replaced there is actually alot more that you won't know about till you tear into it so be sure you want to devote the time and money it will take to rebuild the hull before you get it.

You are probably going to get into replacing the transom and stringers which a pretty big job, maybe have someone that knows boat look it over before you move on it.

I think he means actual glass, like windows, not fiberglass.

Frankly, I would have second thoughts taking that project on for $6, much less $600. And it doesn't even have a motor.

motors aint cheap. You can prob get a good used boat around the same $$$$ as the motor would costplus repairs

You can probably find project boats in the same price range that need a little less work. Or at least have a motor. Just my thoughts.
