89 Irvette PMC 4140

Hi, so i just bought my first boat. It is an 89 Irvette dual console with PMC 4140, it has the PMC 40i transmission and the PMC PSL20 outdrive. I have had trouble finding info on this boat and set up and I was wondering if you guys knew anything about it? Thanks in advance.

You will not find any info if you search for PMC. The acronym is PCM and it stands for Pleasure Craft Marine, search for PCM 4140 in google and find some info.

Unfortunately the 4140 is a Mitsubishi 4 cylinder and there aren't many out there. They didn't sell many and there certainly aren't many left.

Good luck finding parts and info, it's not going to be easy. I don't mean that in a bad way, honestly, best of luck to you.

welcome. as you can see I have a PCM also. As stated parts are getting hard to find. I believe you can get about everything except the exhaust manifold with a bit of searching. I have a ton of info on the motor. PM me for several downloads plus some websites that have parts and a forum. I have seen the engines and drives sell cheap on ebay and CL. I have a complete extra engine ( no exhaust manifold)
The shamrock forum has several members with the 4140 setups.
