quick question guys (i'm blowing this site up with this engine!) i have a 50 horse 1989 force, its on a 16 ft shallow vee boat, trim tilt, perfectly set for the boat.. i guess i have two questions, what diameter and pitch prop should i run and can i put a carb on for more hp. i'm making 27 mph (as per gps) at wot. (my dad has a 16ft flat bottom with a 25 merc and he blows me out of the water!) i have two props that came with it, my tach recently took a crap, but previously i was getting 4800 rpms with one prop, and 5200 with the other..no speed change once so ever.
