Re: 89 force 125 !!need help with cooling!!
Count me in on this problem too. I do have it in a tank although it just barely keeps water above the cavitation plate, especially after it has started. My alarm goes off quickly. From what I'm reading, is it possible that the tank water becomes hot from the exhaust so that cool water is not being re-circulated but rather we're getting the hot water that was just expelled. I can feel hot/warm water blowing out the snout. The pressure is spilling the extra water I need out of the tub also. As soon as it stops raining, I've decided to put the hose muffs on as well as in the tank. That way I'm getting a hard stream of cold water and maintaining the depth (I hope) of the tank water. I appreciate the info about the 2 holes in the mid-leg as exhaust while cranking since I see the pressure needed to blow out the snout, already submerged. That makes sense now after seeing the initial exhaust out where I was hoping to see water.
I'll post after this test. Hearing that the lake made a difference was encouraging. BTW, my buzzer is more like a chime. Very high pitched tone and it comes from under the dash or either the control. I have a black box with a button too, its a circuit breaker. Sorry, I didn't see your video so its probably a whole nother animal. If anybody knows it would be John from Md. so I can't add anything to his knowledge. I just thank the lord he's on this board and willing to help so much. Otherwise, I'd hate Force motors too. But I think we'll all know our motors better than anybody on the water just from all the troubleshooting. I've had a few boats but never maintained them half as well. I just took them for granted. I also have the towing Insurance though.
