89 50HP Force

I have this 89 force 50hp on my Pontoon boat. It will start but I have to keep hitting the choke every few seconds to keep it running. I replaced the fuel line and primer pump and it ran ok for a few seconds but then back to the choke deal. I am thinking about rebuilding carb and getting a new fuel pump kit. Any ideas on this? I checked compression and spark they are all good.

Sounds like the carb is full of crap.The main jet is probably plugged.J
