89 150 yamaha oil line ?

ive got about 5 ' of clear line between the remote tank and motor(so i can make sure its working)-oil pumps in when called for but when the remote tank stops sending the oil in the line drains away from the motor about half way down the clear line -is this a cause for concern ? possibly bad seals in the pump -or am i just worrying over nothing

Yes, and no. You should have a check valve between the motor on the remote tank and the hose. This is not a big deal as long as it does it's job which is to refill the tank on the engine. If it ever fails to do this, then look at the valve.
