89 115 Mariner problems

First I replaced impeller worked great for 2 trips to lake now no water from the pee hole however have water from exhaust at the top rear thru the prop and fins in midsection just above were the lower unit bolts together. Also not sure it this motor has a t-stat if anyone knows Thanks John

Spider, If the water that is comming out is lukewarm at idle, your water pump is likely OK and the teletale is clogged. Shove a wire up the teletale while the motor is idling on the hose to clear it out. No thermostat in the inline sixes

Who said it was a six? If it's really an 89 it's a four. (If it's an 88 leftover sold in '89 it's a six)<br /><br />-W

It is a six not sure about 88 or 89. Anyway had some junk in hole after taking apart and cleaning fixed problem So thanks Chris for your help.

Yes, you ARE sure now about the year.... I just explained it. <br /><br />The 1989's fours did have a thermostat.<br /><br />-W
