888 Question

What is the best products to use when repainting my 888 outdrive? I have it mostly stripped to the bare metal. Metal prep then zinc chromate primer then lacquer paint? Which brands work best?<br />Thanx!

I thought I remember reading in a Mercruiser maintenance manual, epoxy primer followed by a hardened enamel topcoat. The manual mentioned Ditzler brand of products. I have used DP primer, great stuff. The three part DAU enamel should work. Very toxic, will last a long time, use precautions.
