88 spl no thermostats

I love in eastern nc. Water temp really never will get below 50 degrees. Will it hurt my engine to run with no thermostats our the little plastic things that comes with them? Thanks

Yes !!!!!The motor can cold seize from overcooling but more likely to run hot with the poppets outl.

The engine will run cooler than it should, esp at low rpm's. That will promote carbon accumulation around the ringsets. It will reduce the life span of the engine-long term. It will reduce combustion efficiency. Keep the thermostats and pressure relief valve installed and in good working order.
