88 MARINER 25HP 2 stroke won't start

I have an 88 2 stroke outboard Mariner that wont start I changed the CDI and it started fine push the throttle and now it won't do nothing change the fuel pump diaphragm And still nothing I have spark but plug s have fuel on them .first boat I know nothing. ..

How much spark check the kill switches and need a model#

Spark seems a little weak Serial numbers 0c117449
There s another # 54935.
I disconnected the kill switches from the cdi and same when it was running we pulled one plug wire at a time and it stayed on but when we gave it throttle it kinda backfired and now I can't get it going again

Check the flywheel key could be sheared. Do you have the plug or coil wires on backwards.

What do you mean by backwards on coils I only connected the one's from the cdi does it matter which one fire's first or something ? I'll check out the flywheel key

Yes it matters how you hooked up the coils each cylinder needs to fire at a certain time.

When it ran it idled good would it have done that if they were switched?

No it would not check the flywheel key

Runs like a champ .but want to make sure I have the right torque on the fly wheel does 110-125 lb sound right I read that some where

Flywheel torque: Book says 50 ft. lbs.
