88 johnson 70hp runs wont shut down

hello I am new to boats my boat was running fine then all of a sudden it wouldnt shut down had to choke it out a friend said it was my ignition switch so i replaced that and still wont shut down any ideas

check the black with yellow stripe wire at the motor for continuity

i checked for continuity dont have it so got a bad wire corect
