Well, while I wait patiently for the generator for my 63' Johnson to arrive, I decided to try and take a look at the motor which originally came with my boat. <br /><br />The symptoms are:<br /><br />Flywheel will make a quarter turn the lock. The flywheel always locks at the same spot and can not get beyond it. For me to attempt to turn the flywheel again I have to manually turn the flywheel back as far as it will go (a quarter turn) then I can try it again.<br /><br />The starter seems to fine.<br /><br />The prop will spin freely in nutral. <br /><br />What should I look at first?
