'88 Johnson 110 Plug wires

Just got one of my boats back from my brother. He tells me it was running rough and he checked the plugs. I looked at it and something doesn't seem right. Should the coil wires be crossed on one side or should they be top coil-top cylinder/bottom coil-bottom cylinder? Right now the port side wires are top-bottom/bottom-top. Starboard are top-top/bottom-bottom.

Top coil, top cylinder. Pack to coil, top coil, orange- blue stripe, top coil.
