I have an 88 2.5 l that I have checked everything electrical. Checked the switch on top of the valve cover, and took out both batteries and load tested then both they checked out good. All connections are tight and just to be sure I checked out the battery terminal ends found one set of bad terminals at the master switch, and at battery 1. Re hooked everything back up and still nothing, so just to be safe did the same to the other side and still nothing. What am I missing? I even went and removed the ignition switch just to see if it was working and it is. All the circuit breakers are good as well. I checked the switch on top of the valve cover, it works. But when I did further inspection under an pile of electrical tape I found a massive bunch of ground wires hooked together and they were really hot and I did see a small amount of smoldering. But that was the only thing that would make me think bad connection. I found nothing else. What else can there be?
