88 150 evinrude wont start - Please help

The engine will turn over then stop (like something fired at the wrong time and stoped the engine cold) then it will continue to turn over and repeat. I noticed wires were loose on the connection between the strator and the power pack. I put them back in and the problem started then. Did I blow the power pack. How do I check this? <br /><br />Mike

For future reference, I checked the plugs and the opposite side with the power pack that I thought was bad were dirty (2 of the 3 Top and bottom.) Solution is either, bad ground to these, bad plugs, bad coils or I managed to switch the wires around when I installed them yesterday. <br /><br />I'm going with the switched wires since there is a missfire that stops the engine. Plus new plugs since these are fouled. if I don't post again on this thats the solution!!!!
