Oil Pump tuning<br />My shop guide tells me to completely close the throttle body then adjust the length of the oil pump connecting arm to fully close the oil pump (as there is no mark on the pump body).<br />Q: Does this mean to turn the throttle body stop screw all the way out or just until the butterfly seals the intake? <br /><br />Magneto Arm<br />I have set the idle time correctly (7deg. ATDC) and set the stop screw accordingly. When I throttle up and return to neutral the magneto arm stops about 1/8" from the stop screw. This leaves the timing gun reading 4-5 deg. ATDC and a little choppy idle. <br />Q: Should the magneto arm return to the stop screw without me physically touching it? Should I set the stop screw to where the magneto arm naturally returns to and lengthen the adjustment on the timing advance arm?<br /><br />Carb idle air settings<br />My shop guide has settings for G600, G601, G602 & G603 stamped carbs. My carbs are stamped G604? Q: Does anyone have initial idle air settings for this carb?<br /><br />I prowl this board frequently and thank everyone for their posts.<br />- IvanB
