87 yamaha 150, value

Im looking to buy a yamaha 150, it is very clean and starts right up. dont have any way to check it under a load, it is on a stand. the owner will take half down and the rest when i get it installed and am happy with the way it runs. i would like to know the value and any inherit problems.

As for value, go to NADA.com and you can find it there. The only real problem with that year Yamaha is the shift shafts like to rust into if its a salt water use engine. No way to really check it without removing the lower. Problem was corrected in the 93 models.

I have an '86 Pro V 150 and it likes gas more than I would like for it to. If the one you are looking to buy only has that problem, you'll really like the motor. My speedo has 65mph on it and I can get it all just before wot. Good Luck!<br />Ghostrider
