87 Stratos worth 4200?

87 Stratos bass boat, 150 Merc, Jack plate, and Pwr steer.
Boat looks brand new, trailer in in new shape along with the tires.
The asking price is $4200.00 but the age has me wondering if its worth that.
Any advice you can give is great.

its worth what ever you will pay. there is no set price what a boat is worth.

What model Stratos? Alot depends on where you live... I'd check craiglist for your area.

If it's in truly excellent, well above average condition, with that big a motor....it could certainly be worth at least close to that amount.

For a boat that's in the condition you describe that price is probably at least in the ballpark. I'd see if I could get it for $3500, but given the excellent condition of everything he might not want to dicker that much.

I've just bought a 1988 Stratos and I have to say it's one of the best bass boats I've ever washed lures from!!! Like the previous post says.....It's worth what YOU are willing to pay! If you want it...buy it! Life is short!

I would say so. Just check the motor out. Ask what new parts, if any, have been installed. A bad stator or switch could set you back 500 or so. If it helps you any, I just bought a legend 1992 with a xr6, 1992 for 2600 dollars. I had to spend about 750 on the engine, but I'm happy with it.
