I removed the throttle control lever to recover the side panel on my '87 Seville BR. I assumed the trim/tilt switch on the lever had matching wires, but it doesn't. It's a Quicksilver single lever with a tilt/trim switch with trailer mode switch on the handle. The actual switch has a short set of 4 wires that go into a plastic connector and join the 4 wires coming out of the lever. The connector allows the switch to come off allowing the lever to come off. The switch has 4 wires: red, purple, white and green The 4 wires coming out of the lever are red, purple, blue and green Can I assume red to red, purple to purple, green to green and white to blue? I've looked on line and can't find a wiring diagram. Thanks

The conventional wiring colors are blue for UP; and green for DOWN. Red is for power. Not sure why you would have a fourth wire. Purple is normally ign accessory power. Your PTT is hot at all times, right?

I checked and tested.
it's red-to-red
purple-to-purple
green-to-green
white-to-blue

All good.
