It sounds like it is not firing on both cylinders. It eventually does, which leads me to suspect the wire is not fully contacting the plug? Maybe a loose/damaged coil wire? Bad spark plug?

Well I've put new plugs in about a month ago but your right it does seem like its only firing off of one cylinder. I'll probably do the new coil wires and see how that goes, probably get them monday. You don't think it could be where the wide open throttle is placed?

It does sound like it is only running on one.

Start with the basics compression, spark and then fuel.
My parents did the same thing was just a bad plug.

Does it matter which brand I use for plugs?

Definately on one cylinder. As suggested it may just be the plug wires. Could even be worn thin from rubbing somewhere.

Some feel Champion plugs are best but I use NGK with some confidence. The important thing is to use the recommended plug, regardless of brand. Post back with what yopu find after removing the plugs that are in it now.
