I am replacing the transom and will be getting rid of seadrive and replacing with armstrong bracket or similar. Question is about the tilt/trim, hydraulic steering replacement. I am thinking that I can just replace the T/T with a Johnson/Evinrude/OMC standard system, is that right? With the steering, since the helm is already set up and it has the plumbing...can I just put a seastar hydraulic piston on the motor while leaving the rest of the plumbing and helm alone? Thanks
